While gameplay details are currently scarce, it’s expected that the new game will continue along the same path as Revolution, presenting a somewhat simplified experience more suited to mobile platforms. Like Revolution, the new title will focus on the “core tactical elements” of the Civilization franchise, combined with “a friendly user interface – designed specifically for mobile gamers on touch-pad devices.” Revolution 2 will include all 16 leaders from the first game, including Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi, and Napoleon, along with new additions including Winston Churchill and John F. Unlike the first Revolution, this version will be the first Civilization title developed exclusively for mobile platforms.Īccording to a press release from 2K, Civilization Revolution 2 will deliver “high-impact graphics” and “new gameplay and controls” that take advantage of the capabilities of modern mobile technology. Today the publisher announced the upcoming release of Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution 2, the second installment in the Revolution sub-series of Civilization games that began on the PS3 and Xbox 360 before making the leap to mobile devices. It looks like 2K aren’t satisfied with owning the lives of PC strategy fans when Civilization: Beyond Earth releases this fall.
